Based on Norman Foster’s play “On A First Name Basis”, this is a story of two solitudes – a writer and his housekeeper, who by chance reveal to one another their most intimate feelings.
An ordinary evening turns into a sincere conversation about life, love, loss, and the human need to be heard.
The production is filled with delicate humour and a poignant truth about how difficult it is to be listened to in a world where everyone is in a hurry.
“Let us be more attentive to the people beside us – they may prove deeper and kinder than we are. I have had the good fortune to work with wonderful actors, and my task was simply not to hinder them,” the director says with a smile.
The production is dedicated to the jubilee of People’s Artist of Ukraine, Lidiia Yaremchuk.
